RCAF Cartoons

This cartoon below appears to have been a regular serial in the old RCAF magazine The Roundel.






This cartoon, Terry & The Pirates, appeared in the RCAF magazine The Roundel. The article illustrates the assistance given to the creator & his strip is certainly about the Canuck era RCAF.





Dan Cooper was a French-language cartoon character popular in Europe. He was a RCAF test pilot & his usual ride was a CF-100 but he also flew a "Blue Triangle", perhaps the Avro Arrow that the RCAF never got? He was created by a Belgian in 1954, and it all seems appropriate, as the Belgian Airforce was the only other customer for the CF-100. Seems interesting that although Canada is also a French speaking country that Dan Cooper would be an anglo...
The comic book collections are available at Amazon & I can invision them being popular among Quebecers then & now.
