Charlie Sheen tune

Now here's a topical, viral tune on YouTube:

Jackie Evancho - juvenile singing sensation

I saw this performance the night of August 10, 2010 and I'm still blown away by this 10 year old girl's angelic gift! It's amazing that such a mature, perfect, operatic voice comes out of a tiny, young body!

The DiVinyls "I Touch Myself"

I loved the Divinyls song "I Touch Myself". And if you recall the "Fembot" scene from the one Mike Myer's "Austin Powers" movie, you'll recall the song played there. Watch the video below & you may love this Australian band & the lead singer, too!

Here's a NYC concert in 1991 that Christina is at her erotic best!

On TV in 1991...toned down!

And then in a 1993 concert:

Highway of Heroes - The Trews

This video & the Canadian band behind the song (The Trews) has been gaining a lot of attention. Rightfully so...

Ke$ha - Tik Tok on SNL, Apr 17 2010

I've seen a lot of bands over the years on Saturday Night Live. Most of the time, it's just OK. But this performance was one of those rare occassions where a newgroup got my attention! Great catchy tune & innovative choreography, costumes, and staging. The new Dance music artists are quite something!

Ke$ha - Love is my Drug on SNL Apr 17, 2010

Diamond Rio: In God We Still Trust

This video has been posted at YouTube for 3 years & is approaching 300,000 views. I find it a patriotic American song. Some find it objectionable, for the references to God. Judge for yourself...

Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynrd

From a 2007 concert in Louisville.

Dildo Dawn - MacLean and MacLean

Another classic from the Canadian comic duo.

A Brief History of Pretty Much Everything

It pretty much covers it.

Hamilton Music - The Shakers, Dave Rave

I use to hang with these lads, back in the day. I remember Dave, Rick, Tim, Claude, & Cam well.

No "Free Ride" in air travel today

I thought I was the "Weird Al" of parody songs on YouTube but this fellow deserves the title. Great lyrics, video clips & graphics, nice editing - all lead to a fantastic spoof!

What Ever Happened to Saturday Night - Meatloaf

Hot Patooti!
It is Saturday today...so What Ever Happened to Saturday Night? Know what I mean?
I have this clip from the movie, Rocky Horror Picture Show, but here's someone else's YouTube post. It's done as a slideshow with song lyrics. Bonus!

Canada My Home

A great patriotic song found on YouTube. As someone who does this kind of stuff, I have to appreciate the work that went into this - a catchy tune with great clips & editing! Makes you proud, eh?

Hamilton Music - Teenage Head & Forgotten Rebels

Hamilton, Canada...Steel Town. The Hammer. Frantic City...Perhaps 2 of the biggest things that have come out of my home town music-wise were Teenage Head & The Forgotten Rebels. Both were from the late 1970's and both were of the Punk or New Wave genre. And both were still active about 30 years later. Both of these bands were part of my high school scene.

Here's a recent clip of Teenage Head doing one of their best known tunes, before the death of singer Frankie Venom.

Here's my own music video tribute to The Forgotten Rebels 2004 tune High School Hooker, one of my personal favourites...

Two hilarious songs on YouTube

There are some wildly popular & extremely funny tunes to be found on YouTube.

The first is "What's it Gonna Be"

The next involves some of the folks from Saturday Night Live - "Jizz in my Pants"

Come On Joan music video

The instrumental version of this song was used in a series of community TV public affairs programs for my fire department back in 1989. I decided to do a re-mix of it with the vocals today. There's a twist ending on this romantic theme. Words & music by Freddy K. Roundel Records Music.

iPhone Music

It's amazing what can be done with an iPhone/iPod Touch! Here's an example of music created with various music apps available for these devices.

I Just Don't Look Good Naked Anymore

Stanley Boreson - who just turned 85, gets (almost) naked in his 'vunderful' video from 2007. I can relate to this tune...anyone else?

Joe Hall - Nos Hablos Telephonos

Joe Hall & The Continental Drift were an alternative music band, starting in the 1970's. Joe had offbeat, comic themes to his songs & elaborate orchestrations. Some liken him to Frank Zappa - I just thought they were great from the 1st time I saw them perform at the Festival of Friends in Hamilton, Canada around 1977. Had a couple of their LPs. Here's another one of my favourites from the On The Avenue album. This one is a TV performance that I found on YouTube & the song is about the making of a Spaghetti Western movie in Mexico. It's said that in recent years, Joe Hall lives in Peterborough, Ontario where he plays locally, does some acting, and paints.
